Portion control

Shhh! Gus is asleep, so I decided to whip (steam & puree, actually) up a batch of baby food for him. Voila! Organic butternut squash, just like the pediatrician & Jacob's Mom recommended. Now if we can only get Gus to open his mouth and enjoy it...

Hi! My name is Katie Carson, and I'm Theresa Lotspeich's sister. I found your blog through Leah's. Hope you don't mind me stopping by to read!

I made all of Eli's food the same way.
*TIP*: I stored and froze it in ice cube trays and then used 1-2 cubes per meal, and then more as he got older. I would pop them out and write on a ziplock the food and date...and, voila! GOOD LUCK making more types of food. Naptimes were the best time for me to do it all too! :) HAVE FUN!

I went to the library (after asking my more-experienced mom posse and hearing this title from several of them) and checked out the SUPER BABY FOOD BOOK. I ended up skimming a few chs of this massive book and photocopied (shhh...) the charts and section on how to prepare/when to introduce specific foods. It was a good place to start since there is SO MUCH info out there about the topic.

Here is a link to the book on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0965260313/bookstorenow57-20

GOOD LUCK!
